As of press time, an unknown subject reportedly robbed the State Bank of Long Island in Garden City South Dec. 8 and fled on foot.

According to Detective/Sergeant John Giambrone of the Nassau County Robbery Squad, the male white subject in his mid-30s, standing six feet tall with a medium build, was wearing a denim jacket, denim hat and blue jeans. He entered the bank located at 339 Nassau Boulevard, according to reports, and presented a note demanding money from a teller.

After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, the subject fled. Detectives believe the same subject has committed similar robberies in New Hyde Park and Franklin Square and request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
