Thank you for all your votes, your kind words and unwavering support. Your dedication to me and my candidacy was always inspirational. Along with my family and long-time friends, I met many new and wonderful people in the 17th Assembly District. This campaign marked the beginning of new friendships and the renewal of old acquaintances. I must express an extra measure of gratitude and appreciation to my core campaign committee for their endless generosity of optimism and brightness of spirit. I enjoyed and savored each and every day with all of you.

We all became winners Nov. 7 with governor-elect Eliot Spitzer's resounding victory. He and Andrew Cuomo, our newly elected attorney general, will surely return New York to the glorious Empire State that it once was.

My best wishes to all of you who won and to those who worked so hard and truly believe that public service is a noble and rewarding profession and that every one of us can make a difference.
