Inspector Kenneth Jackson and Detective Richard Pedone of the Garden City Police Department have helped AAA New York launch its 61st annual "School's Open - Drive Carefully" campaign by mounting traffic safety posters in the community.

Garden City Centennial Soccer Club News
The Garden City Centennial Soccer Club will be opening their fall season this Saturday, Sept. 9. Girls play 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The program runs for eight consecutive Saturdays with the exception of Sept. 23 and Oct. 7 (Columbus Day weekend). The season ends Nov. 11. A full schedule can be found on the Garden City Centennial website at www.gccentennialsoccer.org.

Soccer referees are needed for the fall season. Refs are paid $20 for Grade 3-6 games and $15 for Grade 2 games. All applicants must be in the sixth-grade or older, be well versed in the rules of soccer and be available on Saturday afternoons. If interested, email the respective coordinator below and explain how you are qualified:
