The recreation department's annual Easter egg hunt for Pre-K to fifth grade will be held at Community Park Saturday, April 15. This program is open to residents of Garden City. The egg hunt will begin promptly at 10 a.m. There will be three hunts for the following age groups: Pre-K and kindergarten, first and second grades and third through fifth grades. The children will be searching for all kinds of treats as well as special numbered eggs, which can be redeemed for prizes.
Parents are asked to observe age groupings in order to give all children a fair chance in the search for treats.
The recreation department will be holding a tennis camp for juniors ages 9-18 who reside in Garden City. The camp will be held from Monday, April 17, through Thursday, April 20, at the Community Park tennis facility. Each session will run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A typical daily schedule will include warm up and stretching, tennis instruction and drilling of ground strokes, serves and volleys. There will be a snack break and supervised match play. Space is very limited in this program, as there will be a 4 to 1 student to pro ratio. The cost of this program will be $165. All residents of Garden City are welcome to join the recreation department's spring tennis tune up. This program is geared to the competitive and team oriented tennis players. All sessions will be run at the Community Park tennis facility. The cost of each session will be $60. The program has been divided into five sessions as follows:

Session 2, May 1, May 3, 11:30-1:30 p.m.
Session 3, May 2, May 4, 9-11 a.m.
