The recreation department is now accepting team application packages for its upcoming spring businessmen's softball league. Packages can be obtained from the recreation department in village hall. Rosters will be accepted from the first 16 teams meeting the following criteria: business located within the Village of Garden City; teams comprised of residents of the Village of Garden City; and teams comprised of employees of the Village of Garden City.

The fee for this league is $500, which covers the cost of umpires, fields, balls and trophies. Application packages will be accepted until 4 p.m. March 31, or until 16 valid packages are accepted. The season is slated to begin the week of April 9. Games will be played Monday through Thursday nights.
