Senator Kemp Hannon is featured on Cablevision's Meet the Leaders television program on Channel 18 throughout March. The public is encouraged to tune in as Senator Hannon discusses, with host Pat Halpin, the REBATE NY school tax relief plan, efforts to prevent Medicaid fraud, a hospital report card initiative and other matters significant to New York State residents.
"Property taxes are the single most burdensome issue for all Long Islanders. The REBATE NY proposal to stymie property tax increases through the STAR program will put taxpayers' hard earned dollars back in their wallets. This is a needed tax break for hard working homeowners," Hannon said.
Hannon, chairman of the Senate Health Committee and co-chair of the Senate Medicaid Reform Task Force, added, "For more information on the school tax rebate program and added knowledge to make informed decisions about health care, tune in to Meet the Leaders."

"Like many of your neighbors, you have spent your entire life surviving; whether it was the stock market crash, the Great Depression, 17 US presidencies or two World Wars. Now many of us look forward to spending our senior years in our homes, but sometimes find we are not as prepared as we could be to deal with illness and decreasing independence. I invite you to join me for a free forum about connecting seniors to services that offer you an opportunity to help remain in your home," Hannon said.
