The eighth-grade St. Anne's boys' basketball team returns to the CYO playoffs and looking for revenge. Last year, as seventh graders, they were ousted in the first round after coming back from a six-point deficit with two minutes to go against St. Hedwig's, only to lose on a last second shot attempt. Since the one point loss they worked hard to get back to the glory road. Most of the team has been together for the last three seasons. The first season finished with a 6-6 record but hungry to learn. Last year 8-4 and their first trip to the playoffs. This year they had 10 wins and lost one game on a last second shot. The boys have improved tremendously in every aspect of the game. Their intensity was unmatched by every opponent they faced. They get great joy out of playing team defense. It has been a total team effort from the start. The coaches and parents are proud of their accomplishments.
