Residents should be on the lookout for an updated Village Facts on St. Paul's in the near future. Mayor Gerard Lundquist has informed Trustee Robert Rothschild, chairman of the board's Public Information Committee, along with Trustees Donald Brudie and Nick Episcopia, fellow committee members, to begin the process of preparing the latest Village Facts for residents. This latest newsletter will include, according to Mayor Lundquist, a chronology of various information, particularly how much the village has spent to date on consultants, what reports have shown and more.

"There have been a number of documents that have been introduced prior that will hopefully be consolidated. The intent is to get that information as quickly as we can on the website [www.gardencityny.net] and ... distributed to the POAs," he said.

Peter Bonchonsky of Chestnut Street, a resident of Garden City for 18 years, said, "It continues to be extremely important to save the St. Paul's building. There is no question. It's obvious. It's a historic structure. That building enriches us. It's our link to the ancestors, the founding father of this village. I think that every time we walk by that building, it uplifts us. I think it's absolutely essential that the building be preserved. I think we owe it to our ancestors and those that will come after us. The question of course is how to do it." Bonchonsky urged board members to consider the village as a whole as well as the village's interests, especially financial.

Mayor Lundquist said he looks forward to the Public Information Committee's report.
