There was magic in the air when "Speedy" of the Harlem Wizards basketball team paid a visit to the Garden City Middle School and Stratford and Stewart Schools recently to help promote the Wizards' upcoming game against the Garden City Teachers Saturday, Feb. 4, at 1 p.m. in the high school gym.

Speedy held the students spellbound with an incredible display of basketball tricks. As Speedy made the rounds at each school, the excitement began to build for the Wizards and the game they will play against a team comprised of talented Garden City teachers. The game is being sponsored by the Garden City Student Aid and Scholarship Fund, with all proceeds being contributed toward the Fund's financial assistance programs.

Advance ticket sales are available by mail and at the Garden City High School for $10. Mail your name and telephone number with the number of tickets requested along with a check payable to The Garden City Student Aid and Scholarship Fund to Marian Mancusi, 189 Wetherill Road, Garden City, NY 11530. Tickets ordered by mail can be picked up at the door on the day of the event. Tickets will also be sold at the door for $12.

This promises to be great fun for the entire family, so come out Saturday, Feb. 4, at 1 p.m. for The Harlem Wizards versus the Garden City Teachers.
