The JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge, held at Jones Beach State Park July 27, contained a "race within a race" - as Long Island's law firms competed in the special JPMorgan Chase Legal Challenge in this 3.5-mile running event.

The top firm in the Legal Challenge this year was the Garden City firm of L'Abbate, Balkan, Colavita & Contini, with a combined four runner time of 1 hour, 44 minutes, 20 seconds. The awards were presented at JPMorgan Chase's Melville office Aug. 19 by JPMorgan Chase Senior Vice President Richard Burgess and Long Island Corporate Challenge Director Mindy Davidson.

"We are thrilled to have been able to add this new level of competition to the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge," Director Mindy Davidson said. "Long Island's law firms are, naturally enough, quite competitive, and having them compete against one another in this event has been a very successful innovation.
