US Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy will hold an online town hall meeting on Social Security on Monday, July 18 from 3 to 4 p.m.

"I'm hearing a lot of ideas on how to strengthen Social Security and I'd like to hear where my constituents stand on the Social Security debate," said McCarthy. "I am hosting this online town hall meeting to discuss this issue that will affect Long Islanders and their families for generations."

This event will be Long Island's first Congressional Online Town Hall Meeting. To participate, just log on to McCarthy's website at www.house.gov/carolynmccarthy, click on the e-town hall link and submit as many questions as you'd like. McCarthy will answer as many questions as possible during the hour; all questions not addressed during the e-town hall will be answered via e-mail.

"If you would like to submit a question before the meeting, visit my website and send me an e-mail," said McCarthy.
