All concerts begin at 7:15 p.m. In the event of rain, the concert will be moved indoors to Cluett Hall at St. Paul's.
The recreation department will be conducting a preschool camp for girls and boys 3.5-5 years old who reside in the village. Children who attend this camp must be 3.5 years by the start of the session they choose. This camp will be held at Cluett Hall at St. Paul's from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The cost of each one-week session is $75. Arts and crafts, music, nature and stories will fill the one and one half-hour class. The sessions are as follow:

Children must be 3.5 years old by the start of the class. A copy of the child's birth certificate must accompany the registration. To register by mail - walk-in registrations are also now accepted - pick up an application at the recreation office in village hall or at St. Paul's. Residents can also make their own by listing their child's name, address, phone number, birth date, grade he/she will be entering in September and the camp he/she is registering for. Mail all information with payment to the recreation department at 351 Stewart Avenue. Please make checks payable to the Inc. Village of Garden City. The recreation department cannot be held responsible for delays in the mail.
The recreation department will offer a summer field hockey camp for girls entering Grades 4-7 in September. This camp will be held the week of July 18 from 10 a.m. to noon at Garden City Community Park's soccer field. The camp, directed by Pat Kennedy, former field hockey coach at C.W. Post, will teach the skills and techniques needed for the sport as well as the rules of the game. The cost of this camp will be $60. The Garden City Recreation Department will conduct evening tennis lessons for adults who reside in the village. The lessons will be held at the Garden City Community Park tennis facility and will run in three- and four-week sessions. There will be a maximum of four players on a court. The dates, times and fee will be as follows:

Weekend times are available upon request. The department will also offer the popular Ultimate Workout Program for adults Tuesday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m. on the following dates:
Session 1 (remaining) meeting dates are June 21, 28 and July 5
Session 2 meeting dates are July 12, 19, 26 and Aug. 2, 9
The cost of each session of Ultimate Workout is $100. Applications for these programs can be picked up at the recreation department or at the Tennis Hut at Community Park.
Application packages are now available for the recreation department's summer softball league for men. Rosters will be accepted from teams meeting the following eligibility requirements: all players on the team are high school graduates or older; teams comprised of current residents of the Incorporated Village of Garden City; and/or players must have resided in the village during their high school years; and/or players working as employees for the village.
The fee for this league will be $500, which covers umpire fees, balls and trophies. Applications will not be accepted without a completed roster package. This includes a signed consent form, a completed roster, a copy of each player's current driver's license and a check to cover the league fee.
Roster packages are available for pick up at village hall. The deadline for submitting completed applications is Wednesday, June 22. League play will begin, beginning by division, Tuesday, June 28.
