The recreation department is sponsoring its annual Easter egg hunt this Saturday, March 26, at Garden City Community Park. Three hunts are held simultaneously for the following grade groups: Pre-K and kindergarten, grades first to second and grades third to fifth. All hunts will begin promptly at 10 a.m. Each hunt will be held in a designated area of the park so children should assembly according to their grades. Children will hunt for candy filled eggs and "number eggs" that can be redeemed for prizes. In case of rain, these hunts will be held Monday, March 28, at the same time.
Now that the weather is turning warmer, it is time to think about getting back into shape. The recreation department's aerobics classes are just the thing to get your heart pumping and your body moving. Pat Kennedy and Joy Cody, experienced instructors who try to tailor their programs to the ability level of the participants, teach the classes.
The easy way to participate in the aerobics classes is to purchase a 20-class pass. By purchasing this pass, residents can attend any class that fits their schedule. The cost of a pass is $60. Passes may be purchased at Cluett Hall or in the recreation office at village hall. For those who would like to try a class or two before purchasing a pass, daily admission is $4. Classes are held in Cluett Hall at the St. Paul's complex according to the following schedule:
