The Garden City Centennial Soccer Club is now accepting applications on line and through the mail for spring soccer intramurals. Applications will be accepted until Jan. 31. Spring soccer is open to boys in grades Pre-K (entering kindergarten in the fall) through sixth, and girls in grades Pre-K through 12. Residents may register and pay online by visiting www.gccentennialsoccer.org. Applications may also be picked up at the recreation office in village hall.
The Centennial Soccer Club will be holding its annual general meeting Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. in Cluett Hall at St. Paul's. Following is the slate of candidates as presented by the nominating committee for election to the Centennial board of directors: (two-year terms) Peter Andromidas, Ray Boudart, Charlie Frumberg, Andy Garger, Paul Glorioso, Greg Kramer, Paul LeSueur, Tom Pratty and Larry Zarou. All members of the club are invited to attend.
The Garden City Centennial Travel Committee has applications available for those adults interested in coaching soccer at the U10 travel level. Candidates will be interviewed to coach teams that will begin their season in July. These will be newly formed teams of players whose birth dates fall between Aug. 1, 1995 and Dec. 31, 1996.
