The Garden City Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the winners of its 27th annual holiday shop window competition. Twelve winners are recognized within the central business district, along with one winner on New Hyde Park Road. Winners included diSalvo Interiors - "Toast of the Town;" Anastasia Salon, Andrew Roberts, Feldis Florist, Garden City Florist, Garden City Properties, Pear Tree, Unique Boutique, B.K. Sweeney's Uptown Grille, Waynes Pharmacy and West & Stannish Opticians. The winner on New Hyde Park Road was City Folk. Winners will receive framed certificates designed by artist Suzie Alvey; be photographed by John Ellis Kordes, professional photographer; and appear in an upcoming issue of Garden City Life.

Centennial Soccer News
The Centennial Soccer Club will be holding its annual general meeting Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. in Cluett Hall at St. Paul's. Following is the slate of candidates as presented by the nominating committee for election to the Centennial board of directors: (two-year terms) Peter Andromidas, Ray Boudart, Charlie Frumberg, Andy Garger, Paul Glorioso, Greg Kramer, Paul LeSueur, Tom Pratty and Larry Zarou.

Recreation Department News
The recreation department is now accepting interest sheets for the second session of adult tennis lessons. This 10-week program is slated to being the week of Jan. 9. Assuming a full class (three to four adults), the cost of the 10-week session is $190. A higher fee will be charged if there are less than three people in a class. For further information or to fill out an interest sheet, visit the recreation office in village hall.
