On Monday, Nov. 1, the Waldorf School's varsity cross-country team concluded their season in fine fashion, winning the IPPSAL championship held at Sunken Meadow Park. The top three conference teams to advance to the championship meet were the Waldorf School, Martin Luther High School and the Portledge School. At the end of the meet, the Waldorf and Portledge teams tied for first place, 32-32. Jesse Kane's sixth place finish proved to be the tiebreaker, earning Waldorf the championship.

Leading the way for Waldorf from first to fifth place were senior Peter Foster, sophomore Daniel Cochran, senior Benjamin Crowe, freshman Tommy Anderson and senior Emily Lyons. Each runner clocked his/her best times of the season. Coach Bruce Murphy, board vice chair, praised the team for a tremendous effort, "They ran courageously."
