Cathedral of the Incarnation Undergoing Face Lift
Garden City's skyline has taken on a different look over the last several months and the big question is how long is this new look going to last. The venerable Cathedral of the Incarnation is having its first major renovation in over 120 years. The lofty spire, some 209 feet, of this magnificent Victorian Gothic cathedral, is now encased in scaffolding.

Residents Criticize St. Paul's Open Space Proposal
Garden City residents are questioning the need for the proposed installation of a fence and walking/jogging path at the St. Paul's fields. "We're a village that prides itself on open space and our village's center town really reflects that," Tom Lamberti of First Street told trustees during a recent meeting. "I'm at a loss at to why we'd become a so-called 'walled' city."

The Waldorf Varsity soccer team rounded out an outstanding 13-1 season by winning the IPPSAL (Independent Private Parochial School Athletic League) Division II Championship game, defeating Martin Luther High School 3-1, at the Portledge School, Monday, Oct. 25.
