The Garden City Checkmate Sharks will be holding open tryouts Saturday, Oct. 16, from 3-6 p.m. at The Waldorf School (rain date Oct. 17 from 4-6:30 p.m.). Tryouts are open to all former Shark players as well as any sixth grade student currently attending school in Garden City.

Application forms can be downloaded at www.gcsharks.com. In order to tryout, application forms must be filled out and faxed to Bob Jahelka at 541-1430 by Friday Oct. 8.
