The Young Adult Department of the Garden City Public Library is conducting a Life Balance Yoga workshop for Garden City young adults in grades 6-12 Saturday, Sept. 11. The first session is scheduled from 2 - 3 p.m. and the second session from 3:15 - 4:15 p.m. Sign-up for one session only.
Join Beth Hagedorn, RN to relax the mind and body with soothing music, yoga, guided imagery and breathing techniques. Learn stress reduction methods that improve focus and create healthy life choices. Experience creative visualization to enhance your test taking abilities and sports performance. Participants should bring a towel or yoga mat and dress in comfortable, non-restrictive clothing.
Registration is necessary and is going on now in the Young Adult Department. Register in-person or by calling the library at 742-8405. This program is brought to you free of charge thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Garden City Public Library.
