Are the children looking for something to do this summer? The recreation department's summer parks program is the answer. Each park runs a free summer program for residents with arts and crafts, games, sports and trips. This program is geared for children in first through eighth grades. Activities vary according to the number of children in the park and the ages of the children. This program is available to all resident children until Aug. 20.
The recreation department sponsors a Senior Program Line, which answers questions about activities for seniors and refers questions about services to the appropriate agency. Please call 465-4190 to reach the Senior Program Line.
All Garden City senior citizens are invited to enjoy the morning at the Garden City Pool Monday, Aug. 16. The pool will open at 11 a.m. for seniors only and admission to the pool will be free.
