Farewell, Garden City! After 22 1/2 years at the Garden City Library, most of them as head of the Children's Department, I'm taking early retirement at the end of July. When I arrived in January 1982, I expected to stay no more than 5 years. Suddenly, it's 2004! People who were born the year I came here have now graduated from college, so it seems a good time for me to move on as well. It's been a pleasure to get to know so many wonderful people - of all ages - over the years. Thanks for being part of my life. I know I'll always treasure my memories of Garden City.
