The third grade Lady Rams' lacrosse team, led by Coaches Jack Shannon, Bob Jahelka and Pete Coleman, earned a hard fought 6-3 victory over home standing Wantagh.

The Lady Rams raised their record to 2-1-1 and showed steady improvement over the last several weeks. The victory was a balanced effort with key defensive play by Charlotte Castronova, Kellie Kubler, Emily Betts and solid goaltending by Marie Cristoforo (three saves) and Caroline DeBello (two saves).

Offensive leaders included Carley Knowles (two goals), Jacqueline Jahelka (two goals) and Krista Dampman and Meredith Johnson (single goals). The goal scorers were set up by the strong play of Mary Glenn, Caleigh McGoldrick, Kathryn McDougal, Louisa Boliver, Lauren Coleman and Haley Shannon.

The Lady Rams will welcome back Lara Horan, Erin Vierengel, Olivia Zimmer and Taylor Pappas when they travel to Northport in search of their third consecutive victory.
