63-Year-Old Woman Robbed on Franklin Avenue
Police report that a Farmingdale woman, while walking northbound on Franklin Avenue at approximately noon Feb. 17, was first thrown against a wall and later to the ground near Seventh Street when she refused to give her pocketbook to a male subject attempting to rob her.

Two Stratford Teachers Named Grant Recipients
Miss Jenny Griesmeyer and Mrs. Linda Mulrooney were each recently awarded separate mini-grants from the Nassau TRACT Teacher Center. Their projects are planned to begin during this winter and will culminate in late spring. Both teachers will display their work and be honored at the TRACT Mini Grant Fair (date and location to be announced).

Recreation Department News
The recreation department will hold a seventh grade recreation night this Friday, Feb. 27 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at the field house in St. Paul's admission is $5. A DJ will provide music and refreshments will be available for a nominal charge.
