Garden City police report that they received a call at approximately 2 p.m. Jan. 29 from a 73-year-old Garden Street resident who had just been robbed. According to police, the woman heard her doorbell ring and when she answered the door, a stocky white male between 20-30 years old forced his way inside and tied her to a pole with duct tape. The Garden City Athletic Club (GCAC) would like to begin sponsoring intramural indoor and outdoor volleyball leagues for children and adults beginning this spring. Co-ed teams and mixed children/adult teams are welcome.
