The Men's Association of Garden City is presently accepting applications for the 2003 Father and Son Football Classic. This is the seventh annual tournament in Garden City and this year is encompassing brackets from the third to twelfth grades. The tournament will be held Saturday, Nov. 29 at St. Paul's from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The entry fee is $30 per adult and $15 per child, payable on game day.

New events this year include the Strong Man Contest, Quarter Back Challenge and the Hot Dog Eating Contest. As usual, there will be the awards ceremony.

All proceeds from the tournament are used by the Garden City Men's Association to support student sports and extracurricular activities at the Garden City Middle School and High School.

As always, Event Committee Chairperson Dan Donnelly and the Garden City Youth Network are leading the event. Donnelly founded the event and has continued to be the driving force behind it for the past six years.

Fathers without sons and sons without fathers are eligible to play. Volunteers to assist in the event are welcome. Please call a committee member listed above.
