On Sunday, Oct. 26, at 1 p.m. the recreation department will hold its annual Halloween show with the magical antics of "Bill White Productions." Cluett Hall will be dressed up for Halloween and children are encouraged to wear their costumes. Popcorn will be served during the show and all children will receive a goody bag as they leave. If your child is looking for tennis competition in an intramural setting, the Ladder program is the program to pick. This program offers weekly drills and strategy sessions and intramural matches on a weekly scheduled basis.

The recreation department will be conducting children's swimming lessons for residents at the Adelphi swimming pool in Woodruff Hall on Saturday mornings. Your child must be 6 years of age by the start of the program to participate. The classes will begin Saturday, Nov. 1. Red Cross certified instructors will teach the classes. The cost is $40.

The recreation department has been able to obtain the best group tickets available for the Thursday, Nov. 20 and Saturday, Nov. 22 performances of Monster Inc. at Nassau Coliseum. The Thursday evening performance begins at 7 p.m. and tickets are located in section 104. The cost of tickets to this performance is $25. Tickets for the 11 a.m. show on Saturday cost $20 and are located in section 205. Residents who'd like to purchase tickets to either of these shows should visit the recreation office in village hall. All tickets must be purchased in cash; no checks will be accepted. Tickets are available to any Garden City resident. Any one person may purchase a maximum of six tickets. The recreation department's adult swim lessons began Oct. 7 at Adelphi University's indoor pool, located in Woodruff Hall. This free program is open to any adult, 18 years or older, who resides in the village. The pool is open for use Mondays through Thursdays in two sessions: 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. Anyone interested in this program must sign up through the recreation department. Participants must register each day they'd like to swim by calling the recreation department at 465-4075. No reservations will be taken ahead of time. For more information, call 465-4075.
The recreation department's creative movement classes are geared to the 3.5 to 5-year-old. Creative Movement stimulates the imagination through the use of simple coordinated moves that are easy to follow. Classes stress physical awareness, rhythm, listening skills and skill development by muscle groups.
Children in this age group who are residents of Garden City are encouraged to attend this exciting class. Mary Searson, the teacher of these classes, has extensive knowledge of this age group and has created a program suitable for everyone's abilities.
Creative Movement is offered during the following days and times:

The recreation department has opened two Saturday Pee-Wee tennis classes for the 4- to 5-year-old village resident. The classes will be held for 50 minutes and will be available at either 12:30 or 1:30 p.m. Each of these classes will run for 10 weeks at a cost of $125. Classes began Oct. 4.
