On July 1, the Garden City Chamber of Commerce board of directors elected Jerry Unger, owner of Printing X-Press, to serve a two-year term as president. With last month's resurfacing of Stewart Avenue from Tanners Pond Road to Cherry Valley Avenue, Garden City resident Bill Bellmer questioned whether the county has approached the village regarding road transfers.
