The recreation department is pleased to announce its summer concerts at the gazebo, located on village hall property. These concerts will take place every Thursday at 7:15 p.m. starting June 26. The list of concerts is as follows:

There are still some openings in the Garden City Community Park Women's Tennis League for the 2003-2004 season. Any Garden City resident 25 or older may join. The season is 26 weeks long, beginning in September and running through April. The registration fee is $410 for singles and $400 for doubles. A $100 deposit is requested at time of registration, with the balance paid by September. Anyone interested, please contact Women's Tennis League coordinator Anne Marie Kenny at 248-2177.

If you're a resident looking for something for your child to do during the summer, the recreation department has several camps still accepting enrollment. The camps still open are the following:

Preschool camp for ages 3.5 to 5 years

Lacrosse camp for grades 3 to 6

Basketball camp for grades 3 to 6

Baseball camp for ages 9 to 12

Soccer camp for ages 6 to 12

The Garden City Recreation Department is pleased to announce a schedule of classes for the fall Dance Conservatory Session. Felicia Lovaglio has put together a varied program with several new types of classes. Several new instructors have joined the dance staff and look forward to the opening of an exciting, new year of dance.

The schedule below is being announced now to help parents set up their children's school year schedule. The department will not be accepting registrations at this time. Registration will take place in September. Please watch the paper in August for further information.
