Great things are done and it is easy to forget to say thank you. It is time for me, and all of us, to say "thank you" to Ken Monaghan, school trustees, teachers, administration and all the volunteers and professionals who make our Garden City Schools something to be proud of. I grew up here, and one of the reasons I stay here is the school system. After the long hours and difficult work, all of you that try so hard to give our kids the best possible education feel unappreciated from time to time. You are the first to hear a complaint when something goes wrong. For all the times that we, the people, forget to say it, "We appreciate you and we are proud of you!"
