For many years we have been preparing a nutritious meal for a soup kitchen in Freeport, which is part of the Interfaith Nutrition Network. We are providing food for more than 100 hungry people once a month.

The recipe calls for 24 pounds of chopped beef. Tom Schillinger, the meat manager at Food Basket, has been very supportive of our efforts and has been providing the meat at a very reasonable price.

It is nice to know that our local merchants support our mission to work and live up to our theme, "Doing the Work of Jesus...Together." Thank you, Tom.
