Annual Easter Vintage Car Parade Returns to Garden City
Easter Sunday, April 20, at 1 p.m. the Garden City Chamber of Commerce's 48th annual Easter Vintage Car Parade will step off on Franklin Avenue at Tenth Street. The gala event is sponsored by Roslyn Savings Bank and directed by George Nigohosian (Bonaventure Bridal & Tuxedo) and Joseph Battaglia, CFP.

Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray and the town board took action March 28 to financially assist town employees who have been called to active military duty during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

With the spring sports seasons beginning, the recreation department would like residents to know that, although the recreation department allows the various volunteer organizations to use the village field space, it does not run any of the programs. Thunder Football Registration Deadline for Open Registration is May 3
Open registration for the 2003 Thunder Football (ages 7, 8, 9, 10, 11,12 as of 11/30/02) ends May 3. Applications postmarked after May 3 will require an additional $25 to the applicable league fee and will be accepted on the condition that if no position is available in the correct division, your application will be rejected and all registration fees returned.
