All after-school winter programs ended last week. The recreation department hopes everyone enjoyed the programs. Family Fun Time will end Sunday, March 23.
With the spring sports seasons beginning, the recreation department would like residents to know that, although the recreation department allows the various volunteer organizations to use the village field space, it does not run any of the programs. Below is a list of program heads for each spring intramural sport; please call them with questions:
Baseball/Tee-ball (GCAA) Mike Crowley 565-5307
Girls Softball (GCAA) Bob Bolebruch 437-7645
Girls Soccer (Centennials) Peter Andromidas 742-9216
Boys Soccer (Centennials) Sandy Young 739-1305

This five-week lesson will drill the adult tennis player to get into shape for the spring tennis season. Lessons, which are being held Saturdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m., began March 15 and cost $100. To register, visit the recreation department at village hall.
The recreation department's adult swim began at Adelphi University's indoor pool at Woodruff Hall. This free program is open to any adult 18 years or older who is a resident of the Inc. Village of Garden City. The pool is open Monday through Thursday at two sessions: 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
You must sign up each day you would like to swim by calling the recreation department at 465-4075. No reservations will be taken ahead of time. For further information; call the recreation office.
