Board Adopts Bond Resolution for Parking Projects
During last Thursday's board meeting, trustees moved forward with the village's parking issue when they adopted a bond resolution for projects at 115 Tenth Street, also known as the Kanner property, and 116 Eleventh Street, a vacant lot the Albanese Organization now owns.

Garden City Students Consuming Alcohol at Alarming Rate
More than 2,500 students, 1,000 parents and 250 school personnel in grades 4-12 were recently surveyed to learn the extent of drug and alcohol use and violence in the village. PRIDE, Inc., a national drug prevention organization, developed the questionnaire used in the survey.

The Garden City Athletic Club will continue their indoor winter practices/clinics during March in preparation for the spring travel baseball season. The sessions are open to all eight- and nine-year-old players who are residents of Garden City. The two remaining dates are Monday, March 17 and Monday, March 24 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the St. Paul's Fieldhouse. Participation is free. If interested please call Tony Colantonio, president, GCAC, at 248-8525. The spring season will begin on Sunday, April 6 with a double-header on Field #1 at Community Park, scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.

All after-school winter programs are ending this week. The recreation department hopes everyone enjoyed the programs. Family Fun Time will end Sunday, March 23.
