Notice is hereby given that the assessor has completed the assessment roll of the Incorporated Village of Garden City for 2003 and filed the same with Village Clerk Brian Ridgway at his office in village hall, located at 351 Stewart Avenue. Any person can examine the roll during business hours until Feb. 18 and between 5:30-9:30 p.m. on that day, the assessor and at least a majority of the members of the board of trustees, constituting the Board of Review, will meet in village hall to hear complaints in relation to the assessments. Thomas Barraga of Suffolk, the ranking Republican on the Assembly Ways and Means Committee, along with his colleagues in the Assembly's Republican Long Island delegation, sponsored a recent hearing on the proposed reinstatement of a commuter tax on Long Island residents who work in New York City. The Garden City Athletic Association will be running its annual baseball clinic for children in second and third grade in the St. Paul's field house on Tuesdays through February. The clinic will run from 7:30-9 p.m. each Tuesday. The trainers from "Clutch Training" will provide a fun program for the children while teaching and practicing the skills they will need for the upcoming season.
