Michael Thomas McCann, 77, of Paducah, KY, formerly of NY, died on Dec. 7, 2002. A native of NY, he graduated from Pratt Institute in NY and was a former art professor at Adelphi University and St. John's University. He was the former owner of the Parrot House Gift Store in Paducah, former president of Lone Oak Kiwanis Club, a member of the Cathedral of the Incarnation and a self employed artist. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Marines. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur Hugh and Margaret (Doyle) McCann; his wife, Jacqueline (Speers) McCann; one sister and three brothers. He is survived by his children, Deborah McCann of Nashville, TN, Kathleen J. McCann Gardner of Paducah and Michael Kevin McCann of Hermitage, TN; sisters, Dorothy Preisner of Schenectady, NY, Margaret Gonyo of Suffern, NY and Elizabeth Connor of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren; four step-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Service held on Dec. 13 at New Covenant Church with Rev. David Cassidy officiating. Burial Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
