Phase I of the restoration project now under way for the Garden City Historical Society Museum at the original Apostle House has begun. In the 6th Senatorial District, Republican incumbent Kemp Hannon defeated Democratic candidate Norman St. George. Hannon, who was first elected to the Senate in 1989, received approximately 61 percent of the votes while St. George received approximately 35 percent. Right to Life candidate Paul F.
