Incumbent Maureen O'Connell is hoping her constituents, old and new, will elect her to serve yet another term as assemblywoman of the 17th District. This past week, the girls' soccer team played the last two games of their season. On Oct. 23, the girls faced Hewlett in a great game. The Garden City offense played an amazing game, scoring five goals off of the Hewlett defense. Goals were scored by Cerrato with two, Mueller with two and Kamrowski with one. Both Lind and Norniella played great games in goal, each with three saves to ensure the victory. FULL STORY

The Garden City Thunder 10-Year-Old Football Team has just won their fourth straight game, defeating Franklin Square 21-6 at home. This puts their record at 4-1 in League play and 5-1 overall. FULL STORY
