Senator Kemp Hannon will be featured on the WHPC radio program Community Issues (90.3 FM) on Monday, Aug. 26, at 9:30 p.m.; and the program will re-air Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 2:30 p.m. During the broadcast, the senator will discuss with host Kevin Burke, health budget funding for important programs, the 2002-03 legislative session and other pertinent community issues.
"As chairman of the Senate Health Committee, I have written and sponsored legislation having a significant effect on improving New Yorker's health care," said Senator Hannon. "I encourage the public to tune into Community Issues and hear firsthand what my colleagues and I are doing in Albany to address quality of life issues that matter to you."
On Long Island, Senator Hannon is tending to the community directly by sponsoring a host of programs. Upcoming events include a Senior Health and Awareness Day Oct. 11, 9 a.m.-noon, Levittown Hall, Hicksville and a free forum for seniors planning for the future on Oct. 22, 1-3 p.m. at Plainedge Library.
