Since the time the Village of Garden City acquired St. Paul's School, many village organizations have come to rely on the large amount of open space at St. Paul's for their athletic programs. St. Francis Hospital's 28th annual golf classic took place in June at three of Long Island's premiere golf courses. Hundreds of hospital supporters enjoyed a beautiful day of golf, including Randy Colahan of Garden City. An evening reception and awards ceremony on the beach at The Creek Club followed. FULL STORY

On July 31 the five neighborhood playgrounds will take a trip to Citibank Stadium to watch the Long Island Ducks play the Bridgeport Bluefish. The recreation department buses will leave from the playgrounds around 5 p.m. and return after the game ends to the Garden City Pool parking lot. FULL STORY
