In a bizarre course of events that occurred late last week, Nassau County Legislator Dennis Dunne, Sr. (R-Levittown), who currently serves the 15th Legislative District, announced his candidacy for New York State Senate but in less than 24 hours, reneged on his decision to run.

Recreation Department News
A Recreation Night for seventh graders will be held Friday, March 1 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at St. Paul's field house. A DJ will provide music and the evening will be supervised by the recreation staff. Admission will be $4. There will be a nominal charge for snacks.

The No. 17 nationally ranked Panthers concluded their regular season breaking two school records. For the first time, they claimed a regular season NYCAC title and claimed two spots on the Verizon Academic All-America District I team. Adelphi was the only school to list two athletes in the college division, making it the first time in school history. Senior forward Kelly Arthurs and junior guard Alexis Seeley were each named to the Second Team.
