Residents attended a champagne brunch at the Garden City Casino Jan. 27 to help fete Joe Kearney, executive leader of the Garden City Republican Committee. Business and community leaders, elected officials and friends turned out to honor the man whose peers on the Garden City Republican Committee named as the "Champion of the Republican Cause" in the Village of Garden City.

This Week in Adelphi Sports
All Adelphi University sports events are open to the public. Indoor sporting events take place in Woodruff Hall, located off South Avenue on Adelphi's Garden City campus. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students (including non-Adelphi students), and free admission for children 12 and under.
