Sitting trustee Barbara K. Miller was the Central Property Owners Association's (CPOA) Nominating Committee's unanimous choice for the position of village trustee from the central section as of April 2002. She is a 22-year resident of Garden City and resides on Tenth Street with her husband, Russell Miller, an orthopedic surgeon. A record-breaking total of 1,253 runners and walkers crossed the Bethpage High School finish line at the 14th annual Ho Ho Ho Holiday Run Dec. 22. Top Garden City finisher Chris Mendolia finished in 17:27 and was the 20th finisher overall and sixth in the highly competitive 30-34 age group.
