Joan Marie Colman died Dec. 21, 2001 in North Penn Hospital, Lansdale, PA after a long illness. She was the wife of Albert Colman. She was a resident of Lansdale. She was born in Garden City on May 8, 1953 and was 48 years old. She was the daughter of the late William and Elaine (McLaughlin) Knox. She was a graduate of Garden City High School Class of 1971 and a graduate of Fairfield University Class of 1975. She was an employee of Merck Pharmaceuticals as the media director for the past three years. She also worked in the advertising field and held a variety of senior positions in NY, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Washington, DC for the past 25 years. Joan's life devotion was to Unity, Service and Recovery. Besides her husband, she is survived by four sisters and two brothers: Mary Aldbridge, Garden City, Margaret James, Old Groton, CT, Catherine Carney, Glen Mills, PA, Patricia Montray, Henniker, NH, James Knox, Ossining, NY, William Knox, Pittsburgh; and 12 nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes, Ambler, PA. Funeral Mass at St. Alphonsus RC Church, Maple Glen, PA. Interment Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville, MD.
