George E. Stegman, 86, formerly of Garden City, died on Nov. 26, 2001. A captain in the US Army during WWII, he was a retired accountant and a member of St. Joseph's Church. Husband of the late Veronica. Brother of Frances Forgione, the late Catherine Cregan and the late Edith Stegman. Grandfather of seven. Memorial Mass at St. Joseph's Church. Cynthia J. Wess, 45, of Garden City, died recently. Wife of Michael E. Mother of Allison, Brian and Michael John. Daughter of Alphonse and Rosalie Trizzino. Daughter-in-law of Ernest and Loretta Wess. Sister of Judi-Anne Speirs, Joseph Trizzino and Jacqueline McAuliffe. Sister-in-law of Robert Wess. Arrangements were made by the Franklin Funeral Home, Franklin Square.
