Village Mayor Robert Lewis appointed a committee of village trustees, including Gerry Lundquist and Peter Negri, to review Garden City's Alfresco Dining Code. Five Garden City turnovers and a sputtering offense led to a Trojan defeat at the hands of the South Side Cyclones. South Side opened the scoring on an 84-yard run around left end by halfback Bryant Daniels with 9:59 left in the half. The kick was good and South Side led 7-0. But Garden City came back with a 50-yard drive that ended with a nice scoring run up the middle by Dan Flannery. Scott Gehnrich's kick was good and the score was tied at the half 7-7.
