The silent auction items at the upcoming Family Relief Fund Benefit will offer spectacular items that are sure to raise thousands of dollars for Garden City families affected by the Sept. 11 tragedy.

Luxury suites for the Knicks, Rangers, Islanders and Mets games along with tickets to Jets, Giants, Yankees and St. John's basketball will be available for the sports fans along with golf packages to many Long Island golf courses. There are Broadway tickets to the Lion King and The Full Monty, a vacation at The Breakers in Palm Beach, a Rolex Watch and you can even be a character in Nelson DeMille's next novel. Dinners at the finest restaurants, dinner with Irish Tenor Ronan Tynan, even dinner for 10 served at your home under the supervision of the chef from the Waldorf Astoria. These are just a few of the over 60 items that will go to the highest bidders on Friday, Oct. 26, from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. at St. Paul's.

Enjoy fabulous food from many local restaurants along with beer, wine, coffee and deserts with music highlighted by a guest appearance by Irish Tenor Ronan Tynan and Garden City's own Susan Lucci.

"Ticket sales so far have been outstanding," Joanne Adams, event chairperson, said. "People should not wait to make their reservations because I think we are going to sell out the St. Paul's field house."

Matt Cody, G.C. Community Fund president said that "Garden City resident and business support for their friends and neighbors has been unbelievable. 1One hundred percent of all proceeds will go directly to those Garden City families affected by last month's attacks."

Donations for the benefit are $100 per person with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the GC Family Relief Fund. Please make your tax-deductible donation payable to GCCF-Family Relief Fund.
