School colors = school spirit! This year, the Garden City PTA/SEPTA (Parent Teacher Association/Special Education Parent Teacher Association) Sportswear Committee has selected an array of popular sports styles for both children and adults. Classic items such as flannel lounge pants, fleece vests, T-shirts, tear-away warm-up pants and lacrosse shorts will be available in the Garden City logos and colors. New fleece-lined zip-up jackets and pullover windbreakers for children and adults can be personalized with embroidered names.
Order forms were in your child's class assignment packet and will be available in the school offices. View the items or download the order form in mid-September at the website www.gardencity.k12.ny.us/sportswear. An opportunity to "touch and try" the items will take place at Cluett Hall Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Samples will also be displayed at the primary and elementary schools on "Back to School Night" and at the high school PTA meeting Sept. 25.
This year's orders must be received by Oct. 5. Order pick-up will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 17 at either Stewart or Stratford Schools. Call 742-8293 with questions. All profits from the sale will go to PTA and SEPTA to benefit children through grants.
