Please consider donating any used lacrosse equipment to the Brooklyn Admirals Lacrosse Program. Started back in 1999, the program encourages inner city youth to get involved in lacrosse. Lacrosse equipment tends to be expensive and many of these children cannot play because they don't have the proper tools like helmets, pads, sticks and gloves. Call Mark Haase at 877-2312 with any questions or to arrange a pick up/drop off of donations.

It was high drama as the lead shifted back and forth all day between the teams of Leibman-Vasilikos and Menger-Stimmler. Finally, Stimmler, choking badly under the pressure, quintuple-bogeyed the last hole to give the Leibman-Vasilikos pair an easy victory.

In a related development, the Pocono tabloids were investigating reports that two middle-aged males, fitting the description of Vasilikos and Menger, were observed wildly racing their golf carts up the narrow, treacherous pathway alongside the eighth fairway at Cricket Hill.

Margot Weille of Garden City was among several athletes honored during SUNY Cortland's 2001 athletic awards banquet. The event spotlights the top student-athletes from among the 600-plus who competed on Cortland's 25 men's and women's intercollegiate teams during the past academic year. Weille is a senior playing on Cortland's women's soccer team.
