Take advantage of the days of summer by taking a fitness class at the Firehouse on Stewart and Edgemere. Now is the time to sign up for one of the classes offered by Adult Education starting this month.

Fitness Over Fifty with Elaine Braun has classes on Thursdays, starting July 12. There will be six sessions held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The cost is $25 ($30 for non-residents).

Fitness Breaks by Mary Harding has Monday (7:45 a.m.), Thursday (8:15 a.m.) and Saturday (8:30 a.m.) morning classes, each an hour long. The length of each session is 12 weeks and residents may join at any time. The cost is $50 ($55 for non-residents) for all 12 weeks. Call Mary Harding at 739-2932 if interested.

The Garden City Centennials Soccer Club is accepting applications for girls' intramural soccer for the fall season. The deadline is August 1. Applications are available at Village Hall and Cluett Hall. Girls living in Garden City and/or attending school in Garden City in K-12 are eligible.
