Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Carisa Keane, the new editor of your hometown newspaper, Garden City Life. I have had the opportunity to speak and meet with some of you already and look forward to building relationships with the rest. I am here to serve the communities of Garden City and Stewart Manor.

As I become acquainted with your local legislators, civic associations, school district, business sector and you, its residents, I welcome any story ideas, items celebrating local residents and/or students, sports news, questions and criticisms. Being the former editor of the Hicksville Illustrated News, a fellow Anton newspaper as well as an editor and reporter for another community newspaper chain for years, I realize the importance of keeping the news close to home. As I pledge to do my best in living up to this promise throughout the coming months, I only hope I can serve you as well as former editor Susie Trenkle did. As for now, I look forward to meeting many more of you at upcoming events.
